EL6623 - A good rifle volunteers officer's sword, regimentally etched on the blade to the XIVth Shropshire Rifle Volunteers, based in Shifnal (then spelled Shiffnal). Absolutely excellent blade, with original mirror polish and frost etching, just with a few very small and localised rust spots. The guard and back piece are dark with patina and some rust pitting, but totally solid on the tang. The grip is good. No scabbard unfortunately.
