EL6748 - A good Victorian (dated 1885) Royal Artillery officer's sword by Wilkinson, with the officer's initials. I have not researched this sword, but with the proof number and the initials on the blade, it should not be too difficult to track down the officer this was made for. A lovely big chunky example of the pattern, in full size (35 inch blade). Everything tight and solid. Some patina, good deep etching, silver grip wire with a little loss and shagreen a little worn. The scabbard has repairs. A good quality sword which feels great in the hand.
