EL6877 - A good Rifles officer's sword by Wilkinson (numbered 10565 for 1860). The scabbard with pitting and missing its throat, and some light pitting to the guard, but otherwise a splendid top quality example of the pattern. The blade in bright original polish, with deep crisp etching, absolutely rock solid in the hilt. The shagreen and silver grip wire complete and tight. Sheathes well in the wooden liners of the scabbard, despite the loss of the throat. I have not researched this sword, so it's unknown whether the Wilkinson record has a name for this one. It has not been service sharpened.
