EL6634 - A WW1 era Wilkinson Army Service Corps (ASC) cavalry officer's sword. Officers of the ASC generally carried cavalry swords, and were expected to act as cavalry if the need arose. This is a top quality Wilkinson example, numbered (52495) but not researched. Excellent service sharpened blade with original mirror polish and frost etching. The edge was presumably sharpened for WW1 and is in good condition. Hilt firm on the tang and complete with field service scabbard in good condition.
