EL6267 - 1908 Pattern cavalry sword by Wilkinson, made in November 1917. This is probably the best condition WW1 era 1908 pattern sword that I have ever had. The blade and guard are in very good condition, with a lot of original mirror polish and very crisp markings to blade, hilt and scabbard. The grip is aged as you'd expect of this sort of composition material after 100+ years, but retains good shape and chequering. The hilt is all firm on the tang. The blade has been service sharpened, so was presumably issued and carried at the end of WW1. A lovely example of the pattern.
