), who served with the 1st Battalion in WW1. A top quality Rifles sword of George V's reign, now in need of some attention. Most of the blade is in good clean condition, but there are some areas of black corrosion (pictured), which may respond to chemical or other cleaning. The hilt is in average condition, being structurally sound and solid on the tang, but with most of the plating to the guard gone. The grip is fairly good. The original Rifles sword knot remains in place. A really good quality sword, with good history, but in need of some care.
