EL6709 - A scarce example of a WW1 (M1889) Prussian infantry officer's 'degen' or spadroon, which is named and dated. Featuring the wartime iron hilt, instead of the more common brass hilt, the rear underside of the quillon features the marvelously hand-engraved name and 1916 date. I have not researched this. Hilt and grip in good condition, with the black leather finger-loop intact and the folding drop section working well. Even patina overall. Complete in matching scabbard.
