EL6244 - A WW1 era Royal Artillery officer's sword and scabbard. The blade is been almost entirely painted with grey/silver paint, so obviously I cannot describe or vouch for what the blade surface might be underneath - this is pot luck! The blade carries Thurkle's proof slug, so is of good quality and the blade has good flex and spring. The edge looks like it was probably service sharpened under the paint. The hilt is of economy WW1 cast alloy type, with a good grip and nice black shagreen.
