EL6870 - A good WW1 cavalry sword 1908 pattern, with numerous markings, showing that it was made at the Enfield Small Arms factory in January 1915. There are regimental, unit or armoury markings, but I have not deciphered those. The blade has been service sharpened and the hilt has been camouflage painted, with most of this paint remaining (plus some light surface rust). This is a remarkably good condition and honest example, which has had virtually nothing done to it. I would recommend only very minimal cleaning, as it retains so much period detail. Complete with the scabbard, which also has markings to be decoded and researched. All complete except for one of the screws from the scabbard throat (pictured).
