EL6916 - Victorian Rifles officer's sword. There is a retailer's name on the ricasso, with a London address, but I cannot quite read it. Andrews perhaps. Unknown maker, but probably a Solingen import. The whole sword would benefit from a clean up and has medium dark patina overall. The etching appears detailed, though there is an area of light pitting near the tip (pictured). The blade has been service sharpened for the last few inches. There is absolutely no movement and everything is solid. The grip shagreen and wire is complete and very good. No scabbard. This is quite a nimble sword, light at the tip.
