EL6717 - A mid-Victorian Rifles officer's sword, in good condition. No retailer and maker unknown, but very likely to be Solingen made from the proof disc. The blade clean and bright with deep and good quality etching. The hilt in equally good condition, with some wire missing, but the shagreen good. The tang button has been re-peened, but the hilt seems tight. Complete with original steel scabbard. The sword knot is modern and not the correct type for Rifles (it is infantry), but I have left it on anyway.
