EL6099 - A mid-Victorian Rifles officer's sword. Probably German made and likely from the 1860s, this example is in bright, clean condition. The edge has been extensively service-sharpened, with a single-bevel, which has removed some of the etching deliberately. The remaining etching is crisp and clear. A quite light and nimble sword. Everything is tight and it is complete with scabbard.
