EL6165 - A mid-Victorian Rifles officer's sword in need of restoration. Blade has been very rusty and had the rust removed, but required repolishing. Blade firm in the hilt and edge service sharpened. The hilt is all solid and structurally sound, but the guard seems to have been painted with something. The shagreen and grip wire quite good and everything solid. This will never be a pretty sword, but it is all solid and feels good in the hand.
