EL6386 - An excellent mid-Victorian Rifle Volunteers officer's sword, retailed by Busain, featuring the officer's crests and initials etched on the blade (which seem to be W. B. R. - unresearched). The blade is in excellent condition with original mirror polish and frost etching, firm in the hilt. The hilt and scabbard with expected patina for the age, the grip in good condition. Note that some Rifle Volunteers used the 3-bar hilt, as seen here, instead of the more common 1827 pattern Rifles hilt. A lovely sword, with research potential.
