EL6658 - A mid-Victorian infantry officer's sword in poor condition, retailed by Hamburger of London. The blade, which has been service sharpened, has numerous edge nicks. The hilt is very loose on the tang, with two washers added at the tang peened end. The brass guard it a little deformed and the grip is very worn. This sword probably had a very interesting history, but is now in a sorry state. On the upside, it does have the scabbard as with some work should be able to be much improved. The blade surface is actually quite clean, with good etching. Priced accordingly.
