EL6404 - A good mid-Victorian infantry officer's sword by Wilkinson, numbered 16243 (for June 1869), in need of cleaning. This sword, sadly, does not have a name on the Wilkinson proof record, except for 'Committee Blackheath Proprietary School', which has been crossed out. So perhaps it was ordered as a school gift or prize (a graduating officer?) which was then cancelled. The sword would have subsequently been sold to an officer by Wilkinson, but it's impossible to know who that was. The sword is structurally in good condition, but it is very dirty and I have done nothing to it. It should clean up well.
