EL6708 - A Victorian infantry officer's sword, made by Thurkle and retailed by McCubbin. Bright and clean blade with good etching, some very slight nicks to the edge (not service sharpened). 33 inch blade. Hilt in quite good condition, but a bit loose on the hilt. The end of the tang has been re-peened at some point. Some of the grip wire missing, but the shagreen is good. The steel scabbard has been professionally leather covered in period.
