**SOLD ON LAYAWAY**
EL6213 - A Crimean War era 1845 pattern Infantry Officer's sword, retailed by Curry of Jersey. The blade has good etching and is in good condition, though with patina which could probably be brightened with careful buffing. The blade appears to have been service sharpened and is firm in the hilt, though there is a little bit of wiggle in the brass guard. The brass of the hilt retains quite a lot of the original gilt finish and the folding section functions as it should (and dates this sword to before about 1860). Together with the scabbard, which is in basically good condition but with a coating of surface rust that should be cleaned.
