EL6713 - A late-Victorian (1897-1901) Royal Engineers officer's sword made and retailed directly by top maker Thurkle. A good quality sword in good condition. Bright blade, firm in the hilt, bright plated hilt and scabbard. Shagreen and grip wire in good condition. Some very minor edge dings, a little bubbling to areas of the hilt plating and some dents to the nickel plated scabbard. Would benefit from a clean and cool be brought up to modern parade standard without much work. The blade is particularly clean with very good etching.
