EL6913 - A Victorian 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword by Robert Mole & Sons of Birmingham, dated to 1897-1901. A good example by a top maker, with the VR cypher to the guard and blade, showing that this dates to late few years of Victoria's reign. Steel guard, clean and bright, with very good grip and back piece, with sharp checkering, firm on the tang. The blade bright, clean with most of the original mirror polish remaining, and great crisp frost etching. Complete with leather washer and steel full dress scabbard.
