EL6215 - An 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword, retailed by Daniels of Woolwich and the blade made by Pillin. This is Victorian, so dates to 1897-1901. The blade is in very nice clean condition with only minor blemishes and it is firm in the hilt. The shagreen and grip wire are excellent. The steel of the hilt has very dark patina, which could be cleaned up if desired. The scabbard has matching wear and patina to the hilt. A good quality infantry officer's sword of the Boer War era which could benefit from some minor restoration.
