Product Details

EL6269 - An early or mid-Victorian (1845-1860ish) infantry officer's sword, by Rogers of London. Brass in quite good shape, with patina. Folding drop works as it should. Shagreen and grip wire good. Blade fairly bright and with clear etching. Leather washer in place. Scabbard rusted and with a split across it (a bit fragile). The sword is solid and the hilt firm - the blade has been service sharpened, so this may have had an interesting life in the late-1840s or 1850s.
