EL6652 - A really top quality and unusually long Rifles officer's sword, retailed by Hawkes and made by Wilkinson. The blade is a massive 35 inches and mostly in original mirror polish, with frost etching of top quality. The grip is a little fatter than normal, with excellent silver grip wire and shagreen. The guard is a little thicker than normal and everything is rock solid. The original sword knot is still in place, though rather aged. The overall condition is very good, but there are some small areas of surface rust to scabbard and hilt, which should clean off with a little bit of effort. A really unusual and lovely sword, feels great in the hand.
