Product Details

EL6156 - A very clean example of a Surrey Rifles (Volunteers) officer's sword, retailed by a London outfitter and probably made by a Birmingham maker. Dating to around 1860-1870, the blade, etched with 'Surrey Rifles' and the outfitter's name and address, is bright and with crisp etching. Solid in the hilt, the guard, backstrap and pommel are all bright and clean, and the grip's shagreen and wire are in very good condition. Together with its matching scabbard, which is also clean and bright, with a few expected dings from wearing.
