EL6867 - Scarce 1892 pattern infantry officer's sword (dating to 1892-1895), retailed by Hill Brothers of London, and made by Pillin (also carrying their proof number to the spine of the ricasso). The sword is in good condition, but in need of cleaning. The blade has small rust spots, but is otherwise bright and with high quality and clear etching. The blade is firm in the hilt. The brass hilt is in good shape, with some gilt remaining, and the shagreen is very good, though some of the grip wire are a bit loose. Complete with its original full dress steel scabbard.
