EL6477 - A good quality Royal Engineers' officer's sword (1857 pattern), by Hebbert. In very good condition, everything is bright and tight, with a good grip and brass hilt in good shape. The blade with strong etching and clear details. The brass scabbard has a lot of minor dents, which indicate that the sword was probably worn for a good number of years in service. A really tidy example of the pattern, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find due to their enduring popularity with collectors.
