EL6121 - A rare Scots Guards officer's sword from George V's reign, around WW1. Retailed by Thompson of Piccadilly and carrying the proof slug of top maker Pillin. 1854 pattern guard with Scots Guards emblem and motto, 1895 pattern fully chequered backstrap and 1892 pattern thrusting blade. The blade is bright and with deep crisp etching, including the full battle honours of the Scots Guards up to WW1, also with the GvR cypher. Blade firm in the hilt and together with matching field service scabbard.
