EL6578 - A rare Victorian Royal Marines Artillery officer's sword, by George Robinson of Birmingham (which dates the sword to the 1860s or 70s). This is a rare maker and also a rare regiment to find swords for, and moreover the sword has very obviously been service sharpened. Coupling this with the date range should give some interesting research potential. The sword is in good, if a little worn, condition, being all solid and complete, with a bright blade and very detailed etching of fine artistic quality.
