ELC1084 - A rare 'flat solid' bladed Victorian Royal Navy officer's sword by Seagrove. A top quality naval officer's sword, probably mid-Victorian, by illustrious outfitter Seagrove (maker unknown). Complete with original scabbard and sword knot, in good condition. Bright blade with detailed and crisp etching. Hilt also in very good condition, with the shagreen retaining a light and quite clean white for the age. The hilt is firm on the tang, though there is a tiny bit of play in the guard. The drop section of the guard works perfectly and engaged with the locking pin on the scabbard.
