EL6767 - A rare Edward VIII British Indian Army infantry officer's sword, 1897 pattern, by Wilkinson. This sword dates to the very short time that Edward VIII reigned from 20 January 1936 – 11 December 1936. The EIR (Edward Imperator Rex) shows that this was for an officer in the Indian Army, in the run up to WW2, but I have not researched it. The sword is in good condition, but as found and in need of cleaning up. It could be brought to modern parade standard quite easily and these pre-war Wilkinsons are much better quality than any of the more recent ones.
