A Prussian (or perhaps other German state) M1811 'Blucher' sabre, from the mid-19th century. Based on the British 1796 light cavalry sabre, but with a chunkier hilt and generally just a bit more stocky. This example needs cleaning and light restoration, but is in solid and sound untouched condition. The blade good and quite clean, with some old varnish protecting it, the grip with almost all the original leather covering, all solid on the tang. Complete with heavy scabbard. Numerous unit markings to the guard.
