EL6397 - WW1 1897 pattern Royal Engineers officer's sword, with presentation script etched on the blade. The sword was presented to T. G. Symonds Babb, in October 1915, by the staff of the General & Electric Company Ltd. The blade is bright, with some spots of pitting here and there, with clear etching. The hilt is firm on the tang and the guard is also a little pitted, but bright and clean. The grip in good condition. Complete with field service scabbard. Unresearched, so potential for some interesting history.
