EL6195 - An excellent (modern parade condition) George VI Wilkinson infantry officer's sword, 1897 pattern (made in 1939 and unresearched). This carries Wilkinson's 'best quality' hexagonal proof slug and has extensive blade etching. The blade is in excellent condition, bright polish and all the etching crisp and clear, firm in the hilt. The hilt is also in top condition, with all the plating to the guard and the shagreen and grip wire excellent also. The sword is together with its Sam Browne field service scabbard, with belt frog and leather sword knot (leather a bit dry). It also has the original waterproofed carrying bag.
