EL6206 - A well-made and attractive Ottoman dagger, featuring a very robust and thick-spined jambiya type blade, mounted into a pretty translucent horn hilt. The scabbard, which would have been fabric (probably velvet or silk) covered originally, if of wood with decorated iron fittings, showing engraved floral decoration. A sturdy and chunky piece, worthy of some more restoration. The steel of the blade may has some interesting structure, but it would require polishing and etching.
