EL6729 - A Napoleonic era British infantry officer's 1796 pattern spadroon (or perhaps for a sergeant). A good original example with the copper sheet ribbed grip intact. A basic and plane blade, but in sound condition and straight, and firm in the hilt. The guard is the solid type rather than with a folding section. Not a fancy example, but a relatively robust and workmanlike piece, with patina and some light pitting to the blade, but otherwise in quite good condition.
