EL6823 - A George III/Napoleonic era 1796 pattern infantry officer's spadroon. Unknown maker, the only writing I can find being the 'warranted' scroll. Engraved blade with patriotic motifs including Britannia and floral decoration. The hilt with silver plate grip covering intact and of find quality. The grip and pommel are firm on the tang, though there is some movement in the guard, as the leather washer has partially perished with age (this could be wedged). The folding drop section working, though a little lose. A good quality example of the pattern in fairly good overall condition and very presentable.
