EL6687 - A very brightly plated and good condition Rifles officer's sword, retailed by Maynard and perhaps made by Reeves, with the officer's crest and motto etched on the blade. Therefore there is a reasonable chance of matching the sword to an officer in the Army Lists, but I have not researched it. The hilt is firm on the tang and the grip is excellent with a high degree of the original blacking. No scabbard unfortunately, but a very attractive sword and nimble in the hand.
