EL6107 - A Victorian pioneer's sawback short sword, 1856 pattern. This example is in good condition, all complete and solid, though most unusually it has been plated, to both hilt and blade. This is period, but I don't know why it would have been plated. Perhaps as an experiment, or for parade purposes. The brass hilt is completely rock solid and retains a good shape. The blade is in virtually perfect condition and the scabbard is also complete. No signs of any stamps or other markings, though these may have been plated over.
