EL6470 - A French M1882 infantry officer's sword, dated 1911 on the forte of the blade, with an unusually long 35 inch blade (they are normally 32 inches). In every other way this is a good quality example of a standard M1882 from the WW1 era, but this was presumably ordered by an officers who was either much taller than average, or who wanted to stab people from as far away as possible! The hilt is a bit lose on the tang, but otherwise this sword is in good condition and would benefit from a good clean and some light restoration.
