EL6178 - A Victorian light cavalry officer's sword, made by Edward Thurkle and retailed by Simpson & Rook. The chunky 35 inch blade with wear to the etching and service sharpened, firm in the hilt. The hilt with loss to the plating, but all solid. The shagreen mostly complete, but loss to the grip wire. A nice quality and solid sword, but not in great cosmetic condition. Worthy of some light restoration. No scabbard.
