EL6861 - A good late-Victorian Rifles officer's sword by Mole. With 1892 pattern blade and 1895 pattern back piece, this sword must date to between 1895 and 1901. Featuring a beautifully etched blade of Mole's top's quality, with most of the original mirror polish and frost etching remaining crisp and bright. Hilt all firm on the tang with no movement, the guard seems to be silver or silver-alloy plated, with fine detail, though some bubbling to the plating in small area (but secure and not lifting). The grip shagreen and silver wire very good. Overall the hilt needs some further cleaning, but is in very good condition. Plated full dress scabbard completes the sword, and it even has the original sword knot.
