EL6638 - A British Indian (or Princely State) officer's sword. Steel hilt, plain blade, bare hardwood grip and native style scabbard. Not a big sword, but rather chunky in the hand - almost certainly locally made, I guess around 1890-1910, probably for an infantry officer of one of the semi-independent princely states in India. In good condition, the hilt firm on the tang and bright surface to most of the steel.
