EL6535 - A GRI (for Indian Army) marked infantry officer's sword, 1897 pattern, dating to around WW1, retailed by Clark and made by top maker Pillin. A good example, with bright blade and only localised areas of rust damage, the guard bright and grip good. All solid. There are also an officer's initials on the blade, which I have not tried to decipher, but which absolutely might enable a researcher to work out the officer. The hilt has some movement on the tang, and the blade is service sharpened. A good sword with potential, and should fit most standard 1897 scabbards.
