EL6794 - A good Victorian Indian Army cavalry sabre made by Mole of Birmingham. Featuring a slightly curved 32 inch blade, which is completely firm in the hilt, it has been well service sharpened and has a lovely bright and clean blade. Hilt in equally good condition, with minimal patina, good shagreen and all tight. This is not the normal pattern that was used by Indian cavalry from around 1880 to 1918, so it is presumably a special order for a specific regiment. Probably dates c.1870-1890.
