ELC1049- A desirable cross-hilted Highland Light Infantry officer's 'claymore', with Edward VII's cypher (1901-1910). Basically in good condition, minus the scabbard and a bit of the grip wire - it just needs some careful cleaning and should restore very well. The extensively-etched double-edged (not service sharpened) blade carries the regimental name and emblem, as well as their regiment's full battle honours. The proof slug shows that the blade was made by Thurkle. Everything tight.
