EL6307 - A good quality example of an 18th or 19th century Indian tulwar, featuring a maker's stamp to the ricasso and good quality detailing to the iron hilt. The double fullered blade of elegant and well formed proportions, tight in the hilt without movement. The hilt is undecorated, but of very fine shape, with elegant bird-head forms to the knucklebow. My feeling is that this is from the 1700s or early 1800s.
