EL6791 - A good Victorian 1895 pattern infantry officer's sword by Mole of Birmingham. The 1895 pattern was only in production for 2 years, and so is comparatively uncommon, and Mole were one of the top makers. This is a really good clean example, with a bright blade, great detailed and deep etching, lots of original polish, a bright steel guard and good grip shagreen and silver wire. There are a few very slight dings to the front edge, which could be polished out. Everything is solid and tight, and the original infantry officer's full dress sword knot is even still in place. The scabbard is also the full dress plated steel type. A really nice chunky example of the type.
