EL6301 - A rare early court sword of the model normally found carrying Queen Victoria's cypher, but this one with what appears to be GR and the famous maker Prosser, 'sword maker to the King'. Prosser's name and warrant is marked to both sides of the double-edged blade, as well as the locket of the scabbard. The blade has fairly dark patina and some corrosion, but the etching is visible. The hilt is a bit loose on the tang. The leather of the scabbard is fragile. However it is all complete and the hilt is in great condition, with some gilt remaining and the complex wire wrapped grip all intact.
