EL6149 - A George V (WW1 era) 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword. Blade lovely, with frost etching and mirror polish. Blade firm in the hilt. Hilt and scabbard rather grubby and would benefit from careful cleaning. Grip shagreen and wire good. Probably a Sheffield-made example, for WW1 wartime demand.
