EL6706 - An enigmatic sword requiring further research. At first sight this appears to be a Royal Army Medical Corps officer's sword, with the 1892 pattern blade, 1822 pattern guard with George V cypher and 1895 pattern grip. But it is marked to the 4th Volunteer Battalion of the Royal West Kent Regiment. It also has the officer's initials etched on the blade, so this has great research potential. Overall condition is good, quite a bright blade with very good etching, the blade being firm in the hilt. The hilt is also good, and it is housed in a field service scabbard.
